Abstract

The media use survey is based on the populations use of, and access to, Norwegian and foreign media. Results from the survey are presented in the Norwegian media barometer report series. The survey was first conducted in 1991 and has since been carried out annually with gradual changes to the questionnaire to reflect the populations media habits. For the survey in 2022, the questionnaire was revised and restructured. Until 2021, the survey population was a representative sample of the Norwegian population aged 9-79. From and including the 2022 survey, there is no upper age limit, and therefore the population is a representative sample of the Norwegian population aged 9 or older. The participants in the survey were offered both a telephone interview and to answer in a web form.
