Abstract

Introduction of flexible production systems in industrial companies and their effects on working and living conditions. Topics: Goals of introduction of new technologies; effects of technology on the life of the people; activity, occupation, place of work and company before working on automated facilities; reasons for taking up the activity on the new facility; expectations regarding occupation characteristics: independence, opportunities to use technical ability, work organization, physical and nervous burden, stress, income and qualification possibilities, shift work, work demands, full utilization of work time, innovator activity, management activity, achievement-based pay, assessment of changes of selected occupation characteristics; renewed decision for taking up work on new technology; inclusion of persons affected in implementation of the automation plan; point in time and object of inclusion; concrete activity on the facility; work functions exercised; shift work; duration of shift work; personal prerequisites for the job; comparison of occupation characteristics of current and previous activity; passive phases during work processes; rhythm of breaks; satisfaction with number of breaks, commuter traffic, hygienic conditions at work, work environment, shopping opportunities, housing conditions; opportunity and frequency of taking over work of colleagues; relations of colleagues among one another (scale); cooperation with other departments; communication opportunities with colleagues; achievement figures; reasons for non-fulfillment of tasks; consideration of personal problems in acceptance of the activity in the automation plan; readiness to once again change jobs; necessity of qualification; type of qualification; degree of mastery of work on the facility; reasons for problems with the new work demands; opportunities to use existing knowledge; degree of exploitation of capacity to achieve; influence of new activity on the...
