Abstract

The aim of this project was to study commonhold unit allocation in the big cities of Norway in light of market and housing policy conditions. The survey describes and explains the development of a new housing structure, the sector of freehold apartments, in the three largest cities. A questionnaire survey was conducted among the residents in addition to an overview of all allocated properties in Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim from 1962 to 1987/88.
