Abstract

Attitudes of Europeans towards resource efficiency.
Topics: efficient use of natural resources in Europe; own household is generating too much waste; sorting of selected types of waste; preconditions to sort (more) waste; most important measures to improve waste management in own community; estimation of the percentage of food bought in the own household going to waste; helpful measures to reduce food waste; importance of the environmental impact with regard to the purchase of products; readiness to buy selected second hand products; reasons for not buying second hand products; readiness to buy products made of recycled materials; most important factors in the decision to buy products made of recycled materials; reasons for not buying products made of recycled materials; preference to pay taxes for waste management or to pay in proportion to generated waste; preference to pay taxes for waste management or to include costs of waste management in price of products. Demography: sex; age; age at end of education; occupation; professional position; type of community.
