Slovene Public Opinion Survey

The World Values Survey (WVS) is a worldwide network of social scientists studying changing values and their impact on social and political life. This series began as a set of surveys conducted in ten West European societies by the European Value Systems Study Group (EVSSG). Abstract

This is a Slovene replication of World Values Survey. Broad topics covered are work, the meaning and purpose of life, family life, and contemporary social issues: religious and moral values, role if women, ecology, inequality, education of children etc. Several questions are dedicated to political activity, views of society, integration of individuals into society, measured with their membership in various social associations, and level of trust in society. Level of social distance towards different marginal social groups, level of contentment with life, and attitude towards work are also addressed.
