The social and economic situation of foreign workers in the Federal Republic. Topics: current and intended further length of stay in the FRG; frequency and length of trips to native country in the last few years; planned visits to native country; means of transport used for visit to native country; family members in the Federal Republic; time of moving of the family members; number and ages of children from one´s own family living in the Federal Republic; family size; number of working family members; greatest concerns and difficulties in the Federal Republic; assumed attitude of Germans to guest workers; judgement on the effort of trade unions for Germans or foreign workers; most important tasks of trade unions; job satisfaction; interest in German citizenship; party preference. Demography: age; sex; length of time in school; length of completed vocational training; occupation; employment status this year and last year; area of business of activity; monthly net income (classified); housing conditions; satisfaction with housing; monthly rent; maximum possible rent; comparison of bearable versus actual rent; car possession and brand; new or used car. Interviewer rating: disturbances of course of interview; assessment of ability to communicate; willingness of respondent to cooperate; assessment of knowledge of national language as well as the German language; city size; state.
