Abstract

Attitudes towards the rights of children.
Topics: awareness of specific rights of children; assessment of the protection of children’s right in the own country; need for help due to personally experienced violation of own rights; most important problems with regard to seeking help; most important fields of political action concerning children’s rights; knowledge test: need for new decision on child’s custody and access rights if divorced parent moves to another EU member state, video games receive label specifying appropriate age group in all EU member states; most important problems in the own country; most important measures at European level to protect children’s rights; most important source of information on the rights of children. Demography: sex; age; full time student; occupation of main income earner in the household; professional position of main income earner in the household; type of community. Additionally coded was: respondent ID; interviewer ID; language of the interview; country; date of interview; time of the beginning of the interview; duration of the interview; type of phone line; region; weighting factor.
