Study title

Statistics Norway has conducted official Labour Force Surveys (LFS) quarterly since 1972. The purpose is to provide labor authorities and other interested, knowledge of the working structure in the population and over time. The studies will provide the basis and statistical material for occupational forecasting and labor market research. The interwiew survey Working Conditions, together with the postal survey, Activity and Occupation from 1975, are part of a mini census for the purpose of obtaining updated answers on employment questions from the census in 1970. The purpose was also to examine employment and living conditions throughout 1975 in order to examine how changes in society affected employment. The content is a list of the types of work respondent had in the past year, regardless of duration. The present data file thus contains variables from both of these studies, and from the LFS survey 1 quarter of 1976.
