Abstract
Attitude to intoxicants and personal use of drugs among young people.
Topics: 1. Oral interview (interview data): preferred leisure
activity; preferred place for the leisure activity; judgement on
education or employment demands; self-assessment of condition of
health; name and frequency of sleeping pills, pain-killers, stimulants,
tranquilizers, vitamins and intoxicants already used; assessment of
general development of use of intoxicants among young people;
relationship with father and mother; inter-generation conflicts; type
of coping with one´s own problems; reference persons; feeling oneself
not understood; detailed information on type and extent of beverage
consumption; frequency of alcohol excesses; exact information on use of
alcohol on the last workday and last weekend; partner and place of use
of alcohol; age at first as well as at regular use of cigarettes;
reason for not smoking; type and extent of current use of cigarettes;
reasons for smoking; degree of familiarity with selected intoxicants;
willingness to try selected intoxicants; willingness to use heroin and
hashish; attitudes to use of intoxicants (scale); contacts with users
of intoxicants and personal use of intoxicants; (with non-users:
reasons for non-use and inclination to use); personal motives for use
of intoxicants; current use of intoxicants; motives for discontinuing
use of intoxicants; characterization of one´s own social conditions;
satisfaction with current situation in life and general attitudes

2. Written survey (filled out after conclusion of the oral survey and
sent to the institute by mail; so-called ´feeling data´): in the form
of 11 detailed descriptions situations are described to which the
respondent was to note for each whether he can imagine himself in this
situation, has already personally felt it once, and what thoughts he
has developed regarding it....
