Abstract
The German Internet Panel (GIP) is an infrastructure project. The GIP serves to collect data about individual attitudes and preferences which are relevant for political and economic decision-making processes.
The questionnaire contains numerous experimental variations in the survey instruments and an experiment which is identical across all questionnaires. For more information see the study documentation.
Topics: verification of first name, last name, sex, year of birth, mobile phone number and landline phone number; corrections; German citizenship; marital status; number of household members (household size); age and sex of up to 6 household members; relationship to each household member; principal residence; highest educational degree, highest professional degree.
Professional situation: employment status or other activities; main employment status; previous employment status; occupational status; time limit employment; previous occupational status; previous time limit employment; economic sector; religion; religiousness; computer usage besides study; internet usage; daily internet usage; satisfaction with family, leisure time, financial situation, and work.
