Abstract
The German Internet Panel (GIP) is an infrastructure project. The GIP serves to collect data about individual attitudes and preferences which are relevant for political and economic decision-making processes.
Topics: Verification of the respondent´s personal details stored in the database, such as first name, surname, sex, year of birth, mobile phone number and landline number (details correct or incorrect) and, if necessary, correction of previous details or addition of mobile phone number and landline number if not available in the database; German citizenship; marital status; number of household members (household size); age (grouped) and sex of other household members and relationship of the respondent to these persons; federal state of the main residence; highest general school leaving certificate; highest vocational training or (technical) university degree).
