Abstract

Daily values, future expectations, school achievements, attitude to school and expectations of choice of occupation. Topics: Satisfaction with selected occupation; fulfillment of occupation desire; influence on choice of occupation by parents, relatives, friends, teacher for occupation advice, class leaders, polytechnical instruction, work and interest groups, media, advertising of companies, center for occupation advice; work values (scale); significance of modern technology in training (scale); shift work or willingness to work in shift work; relations in seminar group and in work collective; just treatment in the technical college, family and public; role of the FDJ; free expression of opinion in the technical college; preparation of school for studies; school knowledge as solid basis for vocational training; difficulties in transition into training; positive and negative memories of school; relationship of personal experiences and knowledge provided; influence of science and technology on one's own employment; every-day values such as work, money, harmonic family life, achievement, obedience, knowledge, good relations, political position, good friends and colleagues; future expectations (scale); goals in life (scale); changes in organization of leisure time; time period of life planning; personal life planning regarding residence, marital status, desire for children, employment and political commitment; material desires; grade in the final examination of the 10th grade; performance achieved in theoretical and practical training; training occupation; membership and functions in organizations; vocational certificate and occupation group of parents; family structure; participation in the school investigation; willingness to participate further in the survey.
