Workplaces with more than 25 employees (excluding agriculture, forestry and fishing, and coalmining) in Great Britain South of the Caledonian Canal.

Sampling procedure

Sample of workplaces were drawn from Census of Employment for Third Workplace Industrial Relations Survey (WIRS 3) to be representative of employers across all size bands.
All WIRS 3 respondents (c96%) who said they did not mind being recontacted were asked to participate in EMSPS.
