The purpose of the survey is to analyse the issue of human reproduction and family planning. Main part is dedicated to contraception and different social, psychological, and cultural factors that encourage or hinder its application. Simultaneously authors tie problematic of contraception to the idea of family planning.

Population consists of various social groups: female patients at the Institute for Family Research (Inštitut za raziskovanje družine) in Ljubljana (N=100), female patients at Slovenj Gradec Hospital (N=24), group of men from Ljubljana and Slovenj Gradec (N=33), doctors attending postgraduate course (N=8), midwives attending course in Ljubljana (N=25), fourth year female (N=20) and male (N=14) students of Medical School at University of Ljubljana.
