Abstract

The overall aim of this project was to optimize inherent resources in social network support for families affected by cancer, by strengthening the networks confidence and capacity to support families and children in crisis. The effect of a support-program for social networks were studied in an RCT. The hypotheses were that this intervention would: 1. Increase social support for the affected family 2. Increase the mental health and quality of life of the healthy parent 3. Increase the children's psychosocial health and quality of life
