Abstract

Use and evaluation of mass-media. Topics: sources used for news; listening level; general judgement on newspapers; comparison of credibility of news in newspapers and radio; perceived development of credibility of the media; attitude to freedom of the press; reading habits and preferred newspaper contents; number and type of newspapers read and those one would like to read; assessment of party inclination of newspapers read; attitude to party inclination of newspapers; assessment of the validity of the image of America produced by the newspapers; naming ´politically harmful´ picture magazines; reading and judgement on books of American authors; interest in foreign print products; knowledge of foreign languages; membership in a club, trade union or party; party preference; city size. Demography: age (classified); sex; school education; occupation; income; head of household; state. Interviewer rating: number of contact attempts; identification of interviewer; willingness of respondent to cooperate.
