Abstract

General political attitudes and opinions on current political issues. Political tasks. Topics: Most important problem in Germany; party sympathy; political interest; tackling long-term problems in Germany: evaluation of the intensity of the activities of the federal government of CDU/CSU and SPD with regard to long-term problems. Political tasks: importance of improvements in selected policy areas (e.g. reintegration of the long-term unemployed, integration of foreigners, compatibility of work and family life, climate protection, etc.) and assessment of the progress made by the Federal Government in these areas. Digitisation: personal advantages or disadvantages of digitisation; expected loss of jobs due to digitisation; importance of improvements in digitisation in different thematic areas (fast internet for all, increased support for the use of internet and computers in schools and training institutions, increased support for research and development in the field of internet and information technology and business start-ups in the field of internet, combating cybercrime, more information and services from public administrations via the internet); progress by the Federal Government on these issues. Demography: age; sex; marital status; cohabitation with a partner; school leaving certificate or desired school leaving certificate; university degree; training certificate; occupation; job security; job position; household size; number of persons in the household from 18 years of age; union member in the household; denomination; frequency of church attendance; number of landline telephone numbers in the household. Additionally coded: respondents ID; state of eligibility to vote; district of Berlin early West/East; size of location; weighting factor.
