Abstract

This data set is derived from the survey "Level of Living Survey on Young Disability-pensionists, 1993", carried out by Statistics Norway and commissioned by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The purpose of the survey was to shed light on the material levels of living for young people receiving disability benefits, that means people aged 21-40 years old. The aim was to see if young disability pensioners had income and access to goods that were affordable compared to the needs and expenses that are typical of people in this life stage. The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs financed the survey to create a groundwork of information, to be able to evaluate the politics of social benefits on this area.
