Abstract

This study is part of "The Norwegian Valuation Study" conducted in 2007-2010 by the Institute of Transport Economics. The purpose was to obtain unit prices on saved travel time and other time components for various segments of travelers. The unit prices is going to be used in economic analyzes of investments and other measures in the transport sector. The study covers long journeys (longer than 200 km one way) with the means of transport vehicle and public transport. Furthermore, covering the time and cycling as the main means of transport (not supply travels) and ferry (as part of a car journey) and express boat. This data set covers walking and cycling as the main means of transport and focuses on travel time, number of stops at intersections, access to bike paths and separate pathways, the level of cleaning of pathways and bicycle paths and the removal of ice and snow.
