Abstract
Relationship of the population of Cologne to technical progress and
willingness to accept innovations.
Topics: Interest in technology; technical talent and technical
knowledge; sources of information about technology; evaluation of the
speed of technical progress; associations with the term technology;
attitude to technology (scale); evaluation of the effect of technology
on various areas of life of the people and on the environment;
evaluation of success up to now of scientific research as well as of
the possibilities and limits of scientific research in the future;
benefit of space travel; attitudes to equal rights for women, the
contraceptive pill, the death penalty, sexuality and fashion (scale);
attitude to coeducation; tasks of the school; perceived influence of
special interest groups on politics and society; attitude to left-wing
and right-wing radicalism in the civil service, the NPD, the KPD
prohibition, military service and empirical social research; membership
in clubs and organizations; ideas about the school education of boys
and girls; behavior at the polls in the Federal Parliament election
1965 and party preference; religiousness.
