Abstract

The survey "Competence in primary and lower secondary school, 2014", deals with the the professional competence of teachers in primary and lower secondary schools. The sample consists of teachers with pedagogical education and at least 50% employment ratio in the educational system. The survey consists of questions about the education of teachers in the subjects of English, foreign languages, physical education, arts and crafts, math, food and health, music, science, norwegian, religion and ethics (RLE) and social sciences. The survey was conducted as a consequence of the political focus on skills development for teachers, and aims to identify the impact of how the teacher competence has improved since the lightning in the political agenda.
