Abstract
The research studies the relationship of organizational culture, social capital and knowledge transfer in the context of small and medium-sized high-tech companies. Based on the assumptions and premises that have been thoroughly dealt with the program group and basic project a questionnaire for semi-structured interview has been designed, by which eleven interviews with representatives of eleven small and medium-sized high-tech companies (HTC´s) were conducted. The study is based on two hypotheses. The first says that the organizational structure and organizational (business) culture there - in the perception of the respondents - the difference between the HTC´s and other companies. The second hypothesis says that the HTC´s have more contacts with academic institutions and with other companies. The questionnaire contains six themes: the importance of research and development (R&D) and the perception of the company, association or type of network and the transfer of knowledge, epistemic community, the internal organization of work and organizational culture, integration of new members and the assessment of business performance.
