Motives of foreign students for studies in Germany and evaluation of
acceptance in the Federal Republic.
Topics: Differences between the image of Germany before arrival and
currently; type and sources of information about the FRG; length of
stay; desired occupation; equal opportunities of choice of occupation
with studies in native country; intensity of contacts with study
colleagues and university personnel; organization of leisure time;
letter contacts with home; difficulties in house-hunting; contacts with
the German population; discrimination experienced; attitude to the
German population (semantic differential); assumed heterostereotype;
re-orientation of demands; political, cultural and economic knowledge
about the FRG; political attitude; financial situation; language
proficiency; media usage; social origins; time budget.
