Abstract
In recent years, there has been an enormous expansion of educational empirical research. Contributing to this was the orientation of educational science as an empirical research discipline as well as the development of interdisciplinary empirical educational research. Despite these developments, there are still deficits in the methodological qualification of junior scientists. The aim of the project is to further promote the methodological qualification of junior scientists in order to network and relate the discourses of educational science and educational research, which at present are partially separate. The next generation of scientists should be supported in such a way that they are able to conduct educational research on a high theoretical and methodological level and, on the other hand, to conduct an intensive theory-practice dialogue in application-oriented science such as educational science and educational research. The project pursues three goals: A systematic recording of previous approaches to method training in the field of educational research should be undertaken with the aim of developing a cooperative and interdisciplinary overall concept for the promotion of young researchers. The networking of the previous promotion of young scientists should be promoted by cooperating nationwide and interdisciplinary. The DGfE as a nationwide operating professional society is particularly well suited to produce such a network. It is both about promoting the networking of young scientists themselves, but also about the networking of supporting institutions and institutions. Through the interaction and cooperation of the DGfE Summer School and its interdisciplinary and multi-methodological orientation, the exchange of young researchers with various scientific and methodological approaches should be promoted and closer networking between educational science and educational research should be achieved.
