Abstract

The study aims at analysing how Swedish news media has reported on research misconduct during the years of 2002-2013 and whether this kind of news reports has increased over time. This has been done by conducting a quantitative content analysis of all articles/reports on research misconduct in some of the largest Swedish news media: Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Göteborgs-Posten, Sydsvenskan, Aftonbladet, Expressen, GT, Kvällsposten, Metro, and Sveriges Television´s news programme Rapport. Purpose: The study aims at analysing how Swedish news media has reported on research misconduct during the years of 2002-2013 and whether this kind of news reports has increased over time.
