European citizenship and democracy.Topics: familiarity with the term ´citizen of the European Union´; self-rated knowledge about the rights of citizens of the European Union; knowledge test on EU citizenship: people have to ask to become a citizen of the EU, every citizen of the EU is at the same time a citizen of his / her own country, one can choose not to be a citizen of the EU; knowledge test with regard to selected rights of citizens in the EU; knowledge test regarding the rights of EU citizens living in respondent’s country to vote or to stand as a candidate in the following elections: European Parliament elections, municipal elections; self-rated knowledge about measures that can be taken in case of the offence of the own rights as citizen of the EU; travels to another EU country; approval of the following statements: feeling of being a citizen of the EU, personal benefit from the free movement of EU citizens within the EU, free movement of EU citizens within the EU brings overall benefits to the economy of the own country, EU member states should cooperate closely to help EU citizens who need consular protection outside the EU, right to seek support from an EU delegation in case of needing help while staying in a country outside the EU that does not have an embassy of respondent’s country; concern about each of the following issues with regard to European elections: people voting who are not entitled to vote, final result of an election being manipulated, elections being manipulated through cyberattacks, people being pressured into voting a particular way, people basing their voting decision on disinformation, foreign actors and criminal groups influencing elections covertly; attitude towards selected statements about the interference by foreign countries in the politics and democracy of the European Union and its member states: justified that foreign countries aim to influence the outcome of elections in the EU to defend their interests, is a serious...
