The aim of this survey was to measure the change between 1961 and 1967 in levels of noise exposure and in social reactions to aircraft noise; to investigate whether the findings of the 1961 survey remain valid in 1967; to increase knowledge of the ways in which exposure to aircraft noise affects annoyance; to obtain miscellaneous information bearing on the problem of noise control at airports.
The 1961 survey Aircraft Noise Annoyance Around London (Heathrow) Airport, 1961 is held at the Data Archive under SN:1291.
