Abstract

Cases of absenteeism (sick leave) where an appeal was made to the Health Law, have been described by means of three identical questionnaires filled in by the persons involved: employees (absentees), employers, and medical advisors of industrial insurance boards. Type of occupation / size and financial position of company / reorganization at time of reporting sick / reasons of reporting sick / kind of disease / role of employees personal characteristics and working conditions / in case of labour conflict, as reason for sick leave: duration, contents and solvability of conflict / contacts between employee, employer, medical advisor and experts in order to get the employee back at work, efforts made, evaluation of the efforts / reasons to continue sick leave after recovery.
