The concept of Living conditions derived from a public research and assessment project called Level of Living Survey, initiated by the Norwegian government in the early 70's. Abstract

Statistics Norway Level og Living surveys has been conducted in various forms since the early 1970s.The theme of the study is overall living conditions of the population in Norway.Through the implementation of the surveys at regular intervals, it is possible to follow the trends and developments in the population's living standards over time. The data set is from Level of Living Survey 1995, conducted by Statistics Norway. The panel section of the study originates from the 1987 survey. There was also conducted an identical survey in 1991.
