To compare a sample in an urban environment in comprehensive schools (outer London borough) with a study carried out by J. Bottomley in 1976-79 (SN:1965) in a semi-rural middle class area of one of the home counties (S. Bucks), and to investigate the effects of T.V. viewing on attitudes to and choice of science subjects at 14 plus.
