Abstract

The survey Family, Social Subjects and Childhood Condition, which is part of an integrated system of social surveys - the ISTAT Multiscopo - points out the basic information relating to the daily life of individuals and families. The survey, conducted every five years, includes the following: - family structure and the "commuting" of the family; - the kinship networks, networks of informal help and assistance received during critical events; - child care; - the life of the couple and the wedding; - the exit from the immediate family and the life cycle; - the permanence of young adults in the family; - the characteristics and opinions on some aspects of daily life; - the working careers, job search, job interruptions, social mobility and intentions for the future.
