Earlier the survey on living conditions has been an annual survey. The survey topics change during a three-year cycle. Every three years there is a health interview survey. Health, care and social contact were focus topics in 1998, 2002, 2005, 2008 and 2012, and again i 2015.

Abstract

The Survey of living conditions has two main purposes. One is to shed light on the main aspects of the living conditions in general and for various groups of people. Another purpose is to monitor the development in living conditions, both in level and distribution. Over a three-year period this cross-sectional survey cover all aspects of the living conditions. The health interview survey, which is carried out every 3 years, map the population's health, functional level, lifestyle and use of health services. The very first health interview survey in Norway was carried out in 1968. Similar surveys were carried out in 1975, 1985 and 1995. After 1996 this survey was integrated in the system of living condition surveys and are now conducted every three years. The survey covers themes in relation to health status, disability, participation, care, lifestyle and use of health services. This is the county file, a region file is also available.
