This collection contains files from the national General Election Surveys conducted in Great Britain between 1963 and 1992 which are deposited in the Data Archive at the University of Essex.
There is machine readable documentation for most of the surveys. These include SPSS setup command files, frequency distributions, SPSS-generated codebooks and, when available, complete questionnaire-codebooks. Moreover, most datasets are also available in SPSS portable export format.
