Abstract

The Pandemic Recovery Survey aims to study the impacts of COVID-19 across the world and to assist public health officials in focusing their efforts to recover from the pandemic and allocate resources. It includes questions about people’s access to health information, support, and care, their confidence in vaccines, household financial and food (in)security as well as their socio-demographic characteristics. People from 21 countries around the globe are invited to participate via Facebook.

Universe

The sample for the Pandemic Recovery Survey was originally designed to provide serial estimates of key economic, educational, and health indicators among specific subpopulations in 21 countries globally. The sampling frame was the Facebook Active User Base (FAUB) ages 18+. Due to budget constraints and changing priorities, we only fielded one cross-sectional survey among the FAUB in 21 selected countries. Countries include: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Egypt, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Philippines, Poland, South Africa, Spain,Türkiye, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam. We had two main goals for sampling, 1) to have an equivalent number of responses from males and females, and 2) to ensure that the sample was representative of the FAUB in each country. Statistical weighting, was used to address coverage and non-response bias.
