International Social Survey Program (ISSP), Norwegian part

ISSP prepares and coordinates annual surveys in their member countries. The topics for research are repeated at intervals of a few years. The "Religion" survey was conducted for the first time in 1991, and partially replicated in 1998 and 2008. NSD conducted the survey for in Norway all three years. The objective of the surveys is to create an empirical foundation for studying religion as a cultural phenomenon and social institution, which significance religion has for the modern individual and society and which processes and factors that develop and influence the role of religion.
