Abstract

Network for University Cooperation Tibet-Norway (Environmental Physics in Tibet, Project code: 120112). (1) This project discovered how much UV light is recieved on the Tibetan Plateau, ozone layer amount was thereby deduced and monitored above the Tibetan Plateau. (2) The second interest of this project is the total recievable solar energy on the Tibetan Plateau, which is the area with the richest solar energy resource in China. This data package stores 10 years of raw data (not calibrated) at Lhasa (Tibet) and Tingri (Tibet) measured by NILU-UV, which is a multi-channel moderate-bandwidth filter instrument equipped with six channgels. Five channels measure UV radiation with central wavelengths at 305, 312, 320, 340 and 380 nm, one channel measures visibli light range from 400 to 700 nm.
