The surveys focus on the public trust in the police in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Norway 2011.

Abstract

The context of this survey is based on several works done by The Norwegian Police University College concerning trust in the police. In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Norway 2011, researchers at The Norwegian Police University College initiated this project with a twofolded aim.The first aim is to examine how trust in the police got affected regarding the police's effort under the terrorist attacks. Second, this project focus on the conception of "trust". The survey is designed so it can be compared to the police surveys regarding citizens and attitudes toward the police in European Social Survey 2010. The questionnaire cover general measures on trust in the police, as well as perceptions of police efforts during July 22nd. Furthermore, the questionnaire also cover questions about attitudes towards the police and perceptions about other participants efforts during July 22nd.
