Abstract

The NOKUT National Student Survey 2018 is a national survey of the students' experienced quality of education. The survey is carried out by NOKUT (The Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education) on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research. The purpose of the NOKUT National Student Survey is to strengthen the work on quality development in higher education and to provide useful information concerning the quality of education. The survey is conducted annually during October-November. The autumn of 2018, the NOKUT National Student Survey 2018 was completed for the sixth time. The survey encompassed approximately 65 000 students across about 1800 study programmes. The survey is sent out on an annual basis to 2nd-year bachelor's students, 2nd-year master's students, and to 2nd and 5th-year students enrolled in master's programmes of five years or more. 3/4 of the questionnaire is consistent each year, while 1/4 can be altered. This file contains no information concerning the educational institutions or study programs. However, personal background variables, NUS codes, subject groups, etc. are included in this file. The file is well suited for analyzes (containing as many individual data as possible) of the categories of education, fields of study and on the subject group level.
