Free-time Residence Barometers
The Free-time Residence Barometers chart the development of free-time residence use in Finland. In the barometers, the term "free-time residence" refers to rural recreational residences (holiday homes, cottages) mainly used during weekends and holidays, particularly in summer. The barometer was created in 2003 by the Island Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Finland as a monitoring system to serve the development of leisure time housing.
