Abstract

The material includes the smoking habits of 2393 pregnant women who attended prenatal check-ups with general practitioners in 1987. A total of 583 pregnant daily smokers were included in an intervention study and followed throughout their pregnancy and for one year after childbirth. The material includes a questionnaire filled out by the pregnant women in the first trimester and a new questionnaire filled out by the same women one year after childbirth. The study also includes a control group of 450 non-pregnant women who were recruited and followed over the same period. Additionally, there is a dataset where 351 doctors have responded to questions regarding the study.
