with life and general satisfaction.

desired authority for a European Union; attitude to direct election of
a European Parliament; type of powers to be given to the European
Parliament; expected conduct of the parties represented in the European
Parliament; judgement on the importance of political goals such as e.g.
reduction of unemployment and inflation, regional development support,
nature and environmental protection, leveling social inequality,
creation of housing, politics of national interests regarding the
superpowers, modernization of the education system, armament, consumer
protection, economic growth and combating crime; image of multinational
businesses of European as well as American origin; image of German
businesses.
2. Perception of poverty and general satisfaction: general contentment
with life; satisfaction in various areas of life; satisfaction with the
social system and democracy; personal standard of living and standard
of living of parents; subjective feeling of social equity in the
country; assessment of the minimum income needed for livelihood;
personal restrictions with consumer goods due to lack of income;
experiencing poverty of others; assumed reasons for the poverty;
development of local poverty in comparison over time; perceived chances
to improve standard of living; judgement on official aid for needy;
personal willingness to make sacrifices for needy; left-right
orientation (interviewer rating on this: answers given hesitantly);
reading newspapers; opinion leadership.
