Abstract
The Pep report is a national survey on the eating habits and physical activity of children and young people. The purpose of the survey is to increase knowledge about what the health situation looks like for children and young people in Sweden. The Karolinska Institutet, the SOM Institute at the University of Gothenburg and the organization Generation Pep have jointly carried out the Pep report 2020. The Pep report was carried out for the first time in autumn 2020 where 29,000 children aged 4-17 were invited to participate. The survey is financed by Generation Pep together with Hjärt-Lungfonden.

The Swedish Tax Agency's population registration register and included all children and young people, both Swedish and foreign citizens, between the ages of 4 and 17 who at the beginning of August 2020 had their primary address in Sweden.
A total of 29,000 children and young people were invited to answer the survey.
