Abstract
Topics: attitude towards the following statements: internet is safe for users, measures needed to limit spread of illegal content, need to protect freedom of expression, hosting services are effective in tackling illegal content; frequency of the following activities: online shopping, use collaborative economy platforms, use social networks, watch videos or listen to music, use file sharing services, read or write reviews, read blogs or comment on articles; experienced types of illegal content: child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, pirated content, counterfeit goods, hate speech, illegal commercial practices, other; actions taken; handling of reported illegal content: taken down, kept online, kept online with restricted access, slightly modified; satisfaction with management of the notification by provider; experience with uploading content that was wrongly blocked; reasons for blocking; actions taken; attitude towards selected statements on internet hosting services: should process all notifications received and assess legality of content, should immediately remove content flagged as illegal by public or law enforcement authorities, users should be able to appeal decisions on removing uploaded content. Demography: age; sex; nationality; age at end of education; occupation; professional position; type of community; own a mobile phone and fixed (landline) phone; household composition and household size. Additionally coded was: respondent ID; country; type of phone line; region; nation group; weighting factor.
