Abstract

Influence of the special constitution of the Free University, ´Berlin Model ll´ and the special situation of the city on the political consciousness of students. Topics: Social origins; earlier political activities, e.g. in school student representation; attitude to the emergency laws; membership in student groups and organizations; election participation in university votes; personal participation in meetings and participation in the student self-administration; satisfaction with the job of the student representation; knowledge about admission regulations; attitude to different admission qualifications; attitude to joining a trade union; party preference; A-scale. Demography: age (classified); sex; marital status; religious denomination; religiousness; school education; vocational training; income; self-assessment of social class; social origins; place of birth; regional origins; refugee status. Indices: political extent to which informed on college and general political level, attitude to democracy, university political potential, political disposition, political commitment. Interviewer rating: willingness of respondent to cooperate.
