Abstract

The survey Adolescent Sexuality 2015 was conducted by TNS Emnid (now Kantar) on behalf of the Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA). During the survey period 08.04.2014 to 06.08.2014, adolescents aged 14 to 17 years and young adults aged 18 to 25 years were interviewed in face-to-face interviews (CAPI) and in web-based self-completed questionnaires (CAWI) on the following topics: attitudes and behavior with regard to the topics of sex education, sexuality and contraception. Respondents were selected through quota sampling. In addition, parents of adolescents were also surveyed. Parental data are available exclusively for interviewed adolescents between 14 and 17 years of age without an immigrant background. The data are filed as additional variables of the respective interviewed adolescents. If possible, the gender of the parent should correspond to the gender of the interviewed adolescent. Non-probability: Quota
Representative survey according to the quota method. The quota characteristics for target persons without a migration background were sex, age and education as well as region of residence. The quota characteristics for the recruitment of target persons with a migration background were sex, age, the origin characteristic "nationality group," and region of residence. For methodological reasons, the sample was disproportionately designed with regard to the characteristics sex, age (14 to 17 years, 18 to 25 years) and migration background (yes / no).
