The microcensus has been carried out since the 1970s and has been repeatedly adapted to changing circumstances over time. The last major reform took place in 2014.

Abstract

The Mikrozensus special survey in September 1990 asks question on career breaks. The question primarily aim at career breaks of women to to the birth of and caring for children. Emphasis is on the return to professional life after such breaks, occurring problems and a review of the career before the break. Additionally, there is one question on working time under 13 hours per week.
