Abstract

Full edition for scientific use. The survey experiment is part of a broader research on European Union citizens’ attitudes towards immigration and free movement. The main objective of the survey experiment is to test how key aspects of journalistic communication strategies affect public opinion on free movement in seven European countries.

Universe

The universe of the survey corresponds to adult general population (aged 18+) currently residing in each of the seven EU Member States covered by this survey: Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom. The data was collected through an online survey. In each country, quota definitions were based on gender and age, in order to ensure that survey represents the most accurate estimations of the target populations.
