Abstract

The survey is a follow-up study to the project "Reform 94" on special accomodations in schools. "Reform 94" is financed by the Ministry of Church, Education and Research and connected to the research environment around Møreforsking AS and Volda University College. Through a total of seven rounds, data has been gathered on 760 especially accomodated students from upper secondary school in six counties. Data collection from parents/related persons is also conducted. In the follow-up survey I oppfølgingsstudien "Adult life on special conditions? The journey into society for students with special accomodations in upper secondary education", which this dataset is derived from, both extensive and intensive data were gathered. The fall of 2001, the former especially accomodated students were contacted by phone. For those who could not answer, both parents and other relatives were used as informants. The following year, one planned to conduct qualitative interviews with categories of adolescents concerning adaptations to adult life. The study concerns a broadly composed group of young people with different types and degrees og physical disabilities. Their education conditions have also been varying.
