Content analysis recording of protest events in the territory of the
Federal Republic and since 1980 for the territory of the GDR. Topics:
point in time and weekday of the protest; length of the protest; report
source; page in the newspaper; extent of report; origin of the report;
number of reports and comments on the protest; area of mobilizing the
protest; primary place of the protest; number of participants according
to articles, organizers and the police; involved supporters, groups and
organizations; initiator of the protest; official emphasis on
individual persons; political location of the supporters; political
location according to articles as well as coder; problem and protest
sector; political field; protest event as part of a campaign; protest
event as counter-protest as well as number of counter-protests to the
protest event; object and addressee of the protest; legal or illegal
forms of action; number of participants in violent actions; internal
conflicts about violence; immediate consequences of the protest;
