Abstract

The project addresses an alternative way to selectively capture CO2 from com bustion exhaust gases for subsequent separate, controlled release. The method may be used in conjunction with sequestration and storage of CO2 from combustion of fossil fuels. Theoretical considerations based on fundamental chemical reaction kinetics, thermodynamics and thermodynamic data have been used for computer modelling the process es involved. Results from the modelling indicates that the method may be used for capture of CO2 from combustion of fossil fuels as in thermoelectric power generation.
